Glassy waters on Friday morning
gave us the thumbs up to head south
to Hope Town
on Elbow Cay, perfect name for the shape of the island.
Richard and I biked the island…a good 5+ miles.
And the nice thing about the Abaco islands is that in many places you can see the ocean on one side of the road,
and the Abaco Sea on the other.
On our break, we found how the islanders describe the men and women…
While we were biking, Rick and the others went scuba diving.
Yesterday, I ferried over to the island with the kids
for a stop at the coffee shopand to check out the beach.
Richard, Jon and I joined up with our boat neighbors, Steve & Karen, for a trip up to Guana Cay for snorkeling and beach time.
Karen “planted” Jonathan
And Steve tried to pull him out. haha! Great sand!
We returned their boat with them to Man-O-War Cay, a sweet island.
Manny, the Manatee visited us.
Last night, the kids visited the lighthouse…
101 steps to the top.
before the sun went down.
Great pix, Katherine!
Every day is a gift and we are thoroughly enjoying this trip and this place.
