His Ways are Perfect!

Twelve weeks and I completed my nutritional approach to improving my body’s health in hopes of stopping the growth and reducing the size of the tumor impinging into my brain.  The blood work revealed great results in my nutritional uptake improvement and healing in my gut, but….

what was 15 mm in February (just below the L)

and 18 mm in August, continued to grow to what is now 22mm. (see top right side of MRI pictures)

Because I am experiencing no symptoms, the last 12 weeks for Jon and I were filled with much activity.  He climbed his favorite banyan tree,

got a haircut, donating his golden locks for kids with cancer,

IMG_7791

helped me babysit,

IMG_7874

participated with the 4H archery club,

built fires…big

and small,

got to see lots of aunts, uncles, grandparents, and cousins on my side of the family,

spent time on Grandad and Happy’s farm with the new calves,

bog cows,

who all loved his snuggles,

and the chickens who loved to be held…haha.

Together we hiked the hills,IMG_1195IMG_8066

found heart rocks,

carpeted the fort we started last time,

and enjoyed the waterfalls.

God has so wonderfully provided a place for me to get this tumor taken care of.  My 3 little bro’s have become my big brothers in this.  Chris, on my right, lives in Tampa

and got me into the Moffitt Cancer Center, had my records looked at, and Dr. Yu, a radiation oncologist, will perform radiosurgery for me.  One treatment of intense radiation should be enough to “kill it!”

Thank you all for your prayers and words of life and encouragement.  I know that I am not alone, but rest safely in the arms of the One with Whom “nothing is impossible!”

Fear says, “What if???” Faith says, “Even if…”

I know in this life we have challenges, unexpected circumstances, and trials that test us.  Knowing that God has a purpose for all that He brings into our lives, brings to me a peace that surpasses all comprehension.

The shuttles of His purpose move
To carry out His own design;
Seek not too soon to disapprove
His work, nor yet assign
Dark motives, when, with silent tread,
You view some sombre fold;
For lo, within each darker thread
There twines a thread of gold.
Spin cheerfully,
Not tearfully,
He knows the way you plod;
Spin carefully,
Spin prayerfully,
But leave the thread with God.
–Canadian Home Journal
Nothing comes to me unless it has first gone past God, past Christ, straight through to me.  If it has come that far, it has come with a great purpose!

“This God—his way is perfect; the word of the LORD proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him.” Psalm 18:30
