God’s Perfect Gifts

January was a productive and “blessing-filled” month for me in Tampa!  My mask for my radiation treatment was created and used.

The treatment left me with a bald spot which is beginning to fill in nicely

and unable to be seen in a normal day.

We headed back to Palm Coast afterwards and are happy to be back where we have spent most of our time over the last few years.  Our church, our homeschool friends, the waves for surfing,

and Jon’s new love, 4H archery, have brought us much joy!

We also had some great news brought to us…we are going to be “grandbears”

to Courtney and Julian’s first born, due in July.  YAY!!

We were also able to gather 7 of the 9 children for the memorial service for Rick’s father and sister who both passed away last year.  IMG_8186

We so love Grandmother and will miss Granddaddy and Aunt Susan!

The year 2020 is well on its way and I give thanks for every day.  Jon just turned 14 and through my binoculars, I can see my season of motherhood is drawing to a close.

I will enjoy every moment I have left to walk with, pray with, and grow with the children God has entrusted to me for such a short season.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.

Tracy, I am so happy to see you up and around and looking so beautiful. Sorry for the loss of Rick’s dad and sister and pray the rest of the year will go smoothly for you and family. Once this epidemic lets up, we would love to come see you.
We are all fine and taking precautions – do a lot of riding in the car! Stay in touch – we love you and your family!!
    To God be the Glory!

Hi Tracy – I trust you & the family are doing well & treatments have gone well.

It’s the Lyerlys We met at NPB Marina back in 2014. We were on the homeschool sailing cat headed to Bahamas , High Cotton. Our 6 YO fishergirl at the time is getting ready to turn 12! We have since sold the boat but looking for another.

Anyway I wanted to reach out to encourage you & let you know that you & your family continue in our prayers…one reason because we seemed down a similar path; boatschooler missionaries & former Nashvillian. I’ve kept up with your posts from buying the boat, traveling thru Bahamas, and storms…all that we experienced as well. And then your brain tumor, treatments & most of all God’s Grace thru it all.

Then a second reason…My 82 YO Mother was diagnosed with GBM Feb 2019 … left temporal lobe. So you are even more near in our prayers than ever as we lift up healing prayers for Mother & you, for grace and for a good quality of life for her time remaining.

I know Father is and has been your joy, your peace & your comfort so I pray that continues. You are an amazing testimony to how God works in whatever challenge arises. May God continue to bless you & your GROWING family.
