“For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven” Ecclesiastes 3:1

Summer is here and soon grandbaby #6 will be added to our family by Courtney and Julian.  My hands have been busy creating a blanket IMG_5238

Winter will bring grandbaby #7 to Marilee and Juan,

and Cristopher and Judah will become big brothers!

Just as the season of summer differs greatly from winter, so my life today differs greatly from the season I have been in for more than 30 years.

In 1985, I graduated from Dental Hygiene school , got married, got a job, and 15 months later, I was promoted to motherhood. And that is all I have known…until now.

This February, I got my first “job.” I was employed as a caregiver for a 91 yo woman, but after 4 short weeks, Covid-19 quickly brought that to a end. Not long after, I found out about Instacart and began a job that I had 35 years experience in…grocery shopping! haha! How fun to shop for and deliver groceries to those unable to do so. I also took on another caregiving job with that and found that working 6 days a week was not too difficult and was quite rewarding.

Last month, changes occurred that brought about us moving to a new location and resulted in me losing that caregiving job. Instacart can be done anywhere by anyone, but what do I have on my bleak resume’ that anyone would want to hire me?? God knows all that I have loved and learned over the many years of being a homeschool mom and the joy I find in encouraging, helping, and inspiring others. I know how valuable it has been to me to have in my life those who are just a “few miles ahead of me.” So, in His perfect way, through providential circumstances, with particular people, and in His perfect timing, God has brought to me a job that I didn’t even know was available.

HomeLife Academy is a non-traditional K-12 private school and ministry serving thousands of homeschool families for nearly 15 years.  It is also an umbrella or cover school, whose goal is to help give homeschooling families the freedom and flexibility to choose the best educational options for their child/ren while benefiting from the many services that come from enrolling there.  I know them well for they been my umbrella school over the last 10+ years for my last 5 children. After connecting last week with my faithful friend and advisor there, I found a day-old email from HLA about a Job Opportunity. Really? After reading through the 12 qualifications, I found that I met 11 of them. Really? And after 2 phone/zoom interviews, I am now employed in a remote job that I will execute from home. Wow! I will be assisting others to do what they love to do with and for their children.

I am still a mom, and I am so grateful that my job allows me to work from home, near Jon,

with the flexibility that works with our schedule for each day! This will be a great season of transition. My advisor sent me this picture saying, “This is how I imagine you, Tracy.  No matter what — You belong to Him.”IMG_8673

God never ceases to take my breath away.

“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.”

Ephesians 4:20-21

This entry is so beautiful, Tracy, along with all those lovely photos! Congratulations on so many levels! You are so precious. Your testimony is a portrayal of Ps. 119:105 ~ Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
